Aarhus Wall Clock

Aarhus, held in wood -  it's time for everyday hygge!

A small tribute to Aarhus - the City of Smiles.
This wall clock features the silhouette of Aarhus Town Hall, a local landmark that carries a quiet kind of pride for many who’ve lived in (or loved) the city. 

Each clock is made to order.

NATURAL: It’s cut from layered plywood, cleaned and then assembled. No two pieces are exactly identical - the wood grain makes each one slightly unique.

STAINED: It’s cut from layered plywood, stained by hand to bring out warmth and variation, then assembled and sealed with a thin protective coat. No two pieces are exactly identical - the wood grain and staining make each one slightly unique.

Materials & finish

• Two layers of 3mm plywood (layered for depth)
• 29 cm diameter
  
• Assembled with wood glue
• STAINED: Hand-stained with aquarelle for a warm, natural tone (back side left natural)
• STAINED: Sealed with a thin coat of acrylic lacquer for light protection

Movement / battery / hanging: 1xAA battery (not included), silent motor, metal hook for hanging

IMPORTANT!

• This clock is made to order. Production time is usually around 1 week, but in busy periods it may take a little longer. If anything extends beyond that, I’ll reach out with an updated timeline.
  
• To protect the delicate metal watch arms during shipping, the clock is delivered with the watch arms packed separately. Attaching them takes 1–2 minutes and instructions are included.
  If you’re picking up locally or buying at a market, I’m happy to attach them for you.
